Responsibilities

You will be responsible for some or all of the following activities:

• Server & System Administration: Maintaining and improving the physical and virtual infrastructure that our programs run on.
• Software Development: Maintaining and improving the software components used to run Cyber Defense Challenges.
• CDC Scenario Development: Creating scenarios, designing and building the networks and services for teams to defend.
• Event Support: Running the CDC events and supporting users throughout the event.

Qualifications

This is not a list of all the qualifications you must have. Rather, it is a list of skills that you may use and learn in this role.

• Server and networking platform administration (Dell, Cisco, etc.)
• Proxmox administration
• Networking concepts and troubleshooting
• Network design
• Linux, Windows, and Active Directory administration
• Full stack software development
• Setting up services like databases, webservers, file servers, etc.
• Familiarity with common software and network vulnerabilities

• Previous participation in CDCs
• Relevant projects outside of class
